Parking and Shuttle bus

There will be no spectator parking in the Nevis Range car park (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), which will be taken over by the World Cup Village. Limited paid-for parking is available in the Rural Complex car park, about 1km from the World Cup Village, on the Nevis Range access road. It is a short walk from here to the World Cup Village. There will be a limited shuttle for the very old, very young or infirm from the Rural Complex to the World Cup Village.

On Saturday and Sunday, when parking at the Rural Complex is full, you will be directed to alternative free Park and Ride car parks just outside Fort William. Please follow all direction signs.

Shuttle buses will operate from these locations to the World Cup Village. There is also public parking in Fort William itself – at An Aird and the West End car parks. This parking is subject to normal rates. Please take note of signs advising when car parks are full and follow the directions of Police, Traffic Wardens and our own Parking Stewards.

Thanks to the continued support from Tesco, we will be able to deliver a quicker, more efficient Park and Ride system again this year.

Tesco are allowing us to use their development site (for a future Tesco Superstore), which is located at Blar Mor on the Mallaig Road.

With easy access off a new roundabout, space for over 800 cars and an improved shuttle we should be able to get spectators from their car to the World Cup quickly and with minimum fuss.

So when you arrive in Fort William, follow the World Cup parking signs for the easiest way to get to Nevis Range.

Shuttle Bus System.

As in 2014 we will provide a free shuttle bus system.

Free shuttle buses will operate on 3 routes on Saturday and Sunday only.

Shuttle bus Route 1 – Town Centre: Starts at West end of the High Street (pick up: opposite Police Station), behind WH Smiths on Middle Street, then the service stops between Ellis Brigham and the Lochaber Leisure Complex and opposite Nevis Bank Hotel near Glen Nevis roundabout.

Shuttle bus Route 2 – Tesco Development Site Park & Ride: For the main car park. There is a feeder shuttle between Corpach, then Banavie and the Park & Ride with a number of marked stops.

Shuttle bus Route 3 – Spean Bridge: Pick up at service stop on A82 between the Spean Bridge Hotel and the Bridge Cafe. Important: There is no dedicated World Cup parking in Spean Bridge itself. The service is for visitors and the local community who can walk to the bus stop.

All shuttle buses will be clearly marked and will run until all spectators have left the World Cup Village after racing.
