The competition is open to amateur film makers who are asked to make a short film about mountain biking at Nevis Range falling into one of the competition categories: ‘MTB World Cup’, ‘competition’, ‘downhill’, ‘cross country’, ‘families’ and ‘cakes’.

During the Film competition period, the Nevis Range Trail Centre venue offers a variety of filming opportunities. It plays host to the 2012 Mountain Bike World Cup, rounds of the British Trials Cup, the NoFuss Events 2 endurance events: 10 Under the Ben and the Endurance Downhill, as well as the Scottish Championships. The gondola accessed downhill and Nevis Red route are also open, and there are miles of Witch’s Trails in Leanachan forest.

The closing date for the competition is midnight 31 August 2012. Winners will be announced and winning entries will be screened at an ‘Après MTB’ film event to be held on Saturday 15 September 2012. All details and terms & conditions are on the competition website.

If successful, the event will no doubt become an annual event and a winter Film Competition is already planned.
