4X Pro Tour hits Fort William!
Fort William welcomed Round 4 of the 4X Pro Tour last night with and sunny qualifying session.
The track here in Scotland is incredibly technical with lots of rocks, loose corners and changing surface. The riders love it and the crowds for this race are always huge.
Tomas Slavik has continued his charge towards the 2012 overall title with fastest qualifying time in the men’s ahead of Rose Vaujany team mates Joost Wichman and Petrik Bruckner in 2nd and 3rd. World Champion Michal Prokop was 4th with Quentin Derbier in 5th.
In the women’s, World Champion Anneke Beerten was the fastest ahead of Celine Gros and Melissa Buhl. British riders Katy Curd and Suzanne Lacey finished 4th and 5th to give the home crowd plenty to shout about in the finals tonight.
The 4X Pro Tour training starts at 17.00 and the finals start at 18.30 tonight. With good weather forecast, you can expect the racing to be as exciting as ever.
Haven’t got a ticket? Don’t worry, you can get your tickets on the gate when you arrive. See you there!
